NIBTT REOPENS ITS TUNAPUNA SERVICE CENTRE
The National Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago (NIBTT) is
pleased to announce the reopening of its Tunapuna Service Centre, at
10AM, on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at #124 Eastern Main Road,
Tunapuna.
The Tunapuna Service Centre was first located, at the District
Medical Officer (DMO) Quarters, on El Dorado Road, in Tunapuna, and
moved to its current location after the purchase of #124 Eastern
Main Road in 1975.
The building was officially opened, on May 19, 1977, by the Prime
Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Eric Williams, and occupied,
by the NIBTT, from June 1977.
“There’s something very symbolic about a reopening. It means our
environment has been enhanced and improved in ways that should
motivate us to higher levels of performance and productivity,” said
Niala Persad-Poliah, Executive Director of the NIBTT.
Last June, the Tunapuna Service Centre was relocated, temporarily,
to facilitate necessary upgrades and renovations to the building, in
keeping with the organisational transformation goals of the NIBTT.
The NIBTT has planned upgrades to offices, throughout Trinidad and
Tobago, as it seeks to improve accommodations for employees, ensure
a safe and comfortable environment for customers, and enhance
overall service delivery.
The reopening of a renovated Tunapuna Service Centre demonstrates
the NIBTT’s commitment to customer satisfaction, service delivery
excellence, and the overall wellness and wellbeing of employees at
the NIBTT.
“With the reopening of this service centre, the NIBTT is delivering
a direct message to the national community that we are committed to
service and excellence. The NIBTT’s relationship with our customers
and the Tunapuna community will demonstrate a renewed commitment to
serve.”
